Account or organisation

The central space managed through the Tapt Dashboard. It can contain profiles, products, groups, templates and administrators.

Administrator

A person with access to manage an account through the Tapt Dashboard. Administrators can manage profiles, products and account settings available to their role.

Cardholder or profile holder

The person who uses a Tapt profile and its connected sharing methods. They may be able to edit their profile in the Tapt App if their organisation allows it.

Digital business card

A digital profile containing professional details and links that can be shared by tap, QR code or link.

Digital wallet

Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on a phone. A Tapt profile can be added as a wallet pass for quick access to its QR code.

Group manager

A person with management access limited to one or more assigned groups in an organisation.

Near-field communication (NFC)

A short-range wireless technology that lets a compatible phone read a Tapt product when the two are held close together.

Product

A physical Tapt item, such as a card, wallet or stand, that can open a linked Tapt destination.

Profile

The digital page that displays the details and links a person or organisation wants to share.

QR code

A scannable code that opens a linked Tapt destination. A QR code provides an alternative when NFC is unavailable or a person prefers to scan.

Tapt App

The mobile app for accessing and sharing a Tapt profile. Available editing actions depend on the organisation's profile-editing settings.

Tapt Dashboard

The web dashboard used by administrators and group managers to manage the parts of an account available to their role.

Tapt platform

The combination of Tapt profiles, products, the Tapt App and the Tapt Dashboard.

Two-way contact exchange

A feature that lets someone viewing a Tapt profile share their own contact details with the profile holder or organisation.
