Tapt already plays nicely with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, and HubSpot, but if your favourite tool isn’t on that list, don’t worry! Thanks to Zapier, you can connect Tapt with thousands of other apps to keep your workflows smooth and automated.

What’s Zapier?

Zapier is a handy automation tool that connects your favourite apps, no coding needed. Think of it as a bridge between Tapt and other platforms, letting them talk to each other automatically.

For example, you can set things up so that when a new contact is added in Tapt, it instantly creates a matching lead in your CRM or adds the details to a Google Sheet. Pretty neat, right?

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Head to Zapier

    • Click this link to open Zapier and search for the app you want to connect with Tapt.

    • Most popular apps are free on Zapier, but some may require a premium account.

    • Find the App you want to integrate Tapt with using the search bar, and select 'Connect these Apps' to get started on designing your integration

  2. Set Up Your Trigger in Tapt

    • Click 'When this happens' in Zapier and choose Tapt.

    • Select 'New Contact' as your Trigger Event, this means Zapier will take action every time a new contact is created in Tapt.

  3. Connect Tapt to Zapier

    • Under Account, click Sign In.

    • A Tapt pop-up will appear, select “Allow” to connect your Tapt account to Zapier.

  4. Choose Your Action App

    • Click on your chosen app module (for example, Pipedrive, Klaviyo, or Google Sheets).

    • Under Action Event, select what you’d like Zapier to do when a new contact is created in Tapt, for instance, Create Contact, Create Lead, or Add Row.

  5. Connect Your Second App

    • Click Sign In under Account and follow the prompts to connect your chosen app.

  6. Map Your Fields

    • Zapier will now ask you to map your Tapt fields (like name, email, company, phone) to the matching fields in your other app.

    • Each tool may look a little different here, just make sure the details line up correctly.

  7. Test Your Integration

    • Click “Continue” and run a quick test to make sure your Zap works as expected.

    • This may require sending yourself a test contact (if you don't have any yet) so that Zapier can test send it to your chosen App.

    • Zapier will show you a confirmation once everything looks good.

  8. Publish and Celebrate 🎉

    • Once your test passes, click “Publish,” and that’s it!

    • From now on, your Tapt contacts will automatically sync with your chosen app.

A Few Handy Tips

  • Keep your Zap names clear (e.g. Tapt to HubSpot New Leads) so you can find them easily later.

  • If your integration doesn’t work right away, check that both accounts are connected and active.

  • Zapier has a built-in task history you can use to troubleshoot any hiccups.
