Manage profile-editing permissions

Control whether cardholders can edit their own profile details in the Tapt App.

Written by Elon Datt

Profile-editing permissions determine whether cardholders can update their own profiles in the Tapt App. Admins control this setting for their organisation from the Tapt Dashboard.

Before you begin

You need admin access to the Tapt Dashboard. Decide whether cardholders should maintain their own details or ask an account administrator to make profile changes for them.

Turn profile editing on or off

  1. Sign in to the Tapt Dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings > Preferences.

  3. Find Employee Editing Access.

  4. Turn the setting on or off.

You can change this setting at any time.

What cardholders can do when editing is on

When Employee Editing Access is on, cardholders can select Edit Profile in the Tapt App and update their profile information, including their job title and contact details.

This access applies to the cardholder’s own profile. It does not give them admin access to the Tapt Dashboard.

What cardholders see when editing is off

When Employee Editing Access is off, cardholders cannot edit their profile in the Tapt App. They see a message asking them to contact their account administrator for profile updates.

An account administrator can then make the required changes from the Tapt Dashboard.

Choose the right setting

Turn editing on when cardholders should keep their own details up to date as changes happen.

Turn editing off when your organisation wants administrators to review and manage all profile changes.
