Add a profile to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet

Save a Tapt wallet pass on your phone and use its QR code to share your profile.

Written by Elon Datt

A Tapt wallet pass gives you quick access to your profile's QR code in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Other people scan the code to open your profile.

Important: A Tapt wallet pass does not share by tapping your phone against another phone. Use its QR code.

Add the pass from the Tapt App

  1. Open the Tapt App and connect to the intended profile.

  2. Open Share.

  3. Choose the option to add the profile to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

  4. Follow your phone's prompts to add the pass.

  5. Open the wallet app and find the Tapt pass.

Check the name, organisation and job title before using it.

Add a pass from an administrator's email

If your administrator sends a wallet invitation, open that email on your phone. Select the option for iPhone or Android and follow the instructions to add the pass.

If you can only open the email on a computer, copy the link for your phone type and send it to yourself through a tool you can open on the phone.

Use the invitation for your own profile. If it shows someone else's details, ask the administrator to check the selected profile before proceeding.

Share and test the pass

  1. Open the Tapt pass in your wallet.

  2. Ask another person to scan its QR code with their phone camera.

  3. Check that it opens the intended Tapt profile.

If the wrong profile opens or the pass contains incorrect details, contact your organisation administrator before sharing it further.

If the design needs changing

Wallet branding is configured in the Tapt Dashboard. Review both Apple and Google previews when changing wallet branding.

Ask your administrator to review the template and send an updated invitation. Use Update wallet branding and check an existing pass if a previously saved pass still shows old branding.
