Set up two-way contact exchange

Turn on the two-way contact exchange form and choose the details your organisation collects when someone shares their contact information.

Two-way contact exchange lets a person viewing your Tapt profile share their own contact details. The information collected is controlled by the profile's contact-exchange settings and template.

Note: Two-way contact exchange is turned on by default.


Turn on two-way contact exchange for a profile

  1. In the Tapt Dashboard, find the profile you want to update.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Find Two-Way Contact Exchange Form.

  4. Turn on the form.

  5. Save your changes.


Choose the fields to collect

  1. In the Tapt Dashboard, open Templates.

  2. Select Contact Exchange.

  3. Turn on the fields you want to collect.

  4. Save your changes.

Choose only the fields your organisation needs, such as name, email address, phone number or company name.

If you plan to use collected contact details for marketing, add a consent statement to the two-way contact exchange form.


Test the form

  1. Open the profile by tapping a Tapt product or scanning its QR code.

  2. Complete the two-way contact exchange form as a test visitor.

  3. Check that the fields are shown correctly and the test contact appears in the expected contacts view.
