Manage groups

Organise profiles into groups, apply group-specific profile designs and delegate access to group managers.

Written by Elon Datt

Groups let admins organise profiles by team, office or brand. Each group can have its own profile design and group managers with access limited to that group.

Note: A profile can belong to only one group at a time.

Create a group

Only admins can create a group or add and remove its profiles.

  1. Open Groups in the Tapt Dashboard.

  2. Select Create Group.

  3. Enter the group name.

  4. Add the relevant profiles.

  5. Apply the profile design or branding for the group.

  6. Save the group.

Profiles added to the group use its profile design.

Move profiles between groups

  1. Open the destination group.

  2. Select Add Profiles.

  3. Select the profiles you want to move.

  4. Confirm the move.

When a profile moves from another group, the destination group’s profile design applies. Its contacts and analytics also move with it.

To remove a profile from a group, use Remove Profile and confirm the change. The organisation-wide profile design applies after the profile is removed.

Add a group manager

Only admins can invite a group manager.

  1. Open the group.

  2. Select Add Group Managers.

  3. Select Invite New User.

  4. Enter the person’s email address and send the invitation.

You can also invite a group manager from Settings > Organisation, then assign the required group. A pending manager can be assigned before they accept the invitation.

Delete a group

Delete a group only when its structure and group-specific design are no longer required.

Important: Deleting a group is permanent. Profiles and managers are not deleted, but the profiles are removed from the group and use the organisation-wide profile design.
