Activate a Tapt Stand or Google Review product

Connect a Tapt Stand to a digital profile or set a Google Review Stand to open the intended review destination.

Both stand types start with a tap or QR scan, but they open different destinations. A Tapt Stand connects to a Tapt profile. A Google Review Stand opens a selected Google review page and does not appear in the Tapt Dashboard.

Before you begin

Have the stand and an unlocked, NFC-enabled phone with you.

  • For a Tapt Stand, have the intended Tapt profile or administrator access ready.

  • For a Google Review Stand, copy the direct Google review link for the correct business and location.

    Important: Test the destination before making the stand available to visitors. This is especially important when a business has more than one Google location.

Activate a Tapt Stand

  1. Tap the stand near the phone's NFC reading area, or scan its QR code.

  2. Open the activation page.

  3. Follow the prompts to connect the stand to the intended Tapt profile.

  4. If the page asks for Dashboard activation, sign in to the Tapt Dashboard and open Products > Activate Products.

  5. Enter the stand's activation code and select Activate.

  6. Create a new profile or assign the stand to an existing profile when prompted.

Activate a Google Review Stand

  1. Tap the stand with an NFC-enabled phone, or scan its QR code.

  2. Paste the direct Google review link into the setup page.

  3. Confirm the destination.

The Google Review Stand directs visitors to that review page. It does not create a Tapt digital profile or appear in the Tapt Dashboard.

Confirm the result

Test both sharing methods with a phone that was not used for setup:

  1. Tap the stand and open the notification.

  2. Confirm that the intended profile or review page opens.

  3. Scan the QR code and confirm that it opens the same destination.

Troubleshooting

If only the QR code works, check the phone's NFC settings and tapping position before testing with another phone.

If a Google Review Stand opens the wrong business or location, stop using it and ask Tapt Support to update its destination.
