Download an invoice, receipt or renewal document

Find the document for a product order or subscription payment and request a corrected copy when needed.

Written by Elon Datt

Match the document to the charge you need to record. A product-order confirmation, a subscription invoice and a payment receipt may relate to different transactions.

Choose the document you need

  • Invoice: The billed items, amount and payment details.

  • Receipt: Confirmation of a completed payment.

  • Renewal notice: Information about an upcoming subscription period and charge.

If your finance team needs a tax invoice, say so when requesting it. A renewal email or order confirmation may not be the document they require.

Find an existing document

  1. Check the purchasing and billing inboxes for Tapt messages.

  2. Search using the order number, invoice reference or payment date.

  3. Open the matching message and download the attached document or use the document link supplied.

  4. Check the organisation, amount and billing period against the transaction you need to record.

If someone else placed the order, ask them to check the original purchasing inbox.

Request a missing or corrected copy

Contact Tapt Support with:

  • The organisation name and purchasing or billing email.

  • The order or invoice number, if available.

  • The payment date and amount.

  • The document type you need.

  • Any incorrect organisation detail and its requested replacement.

If a subscription debit does not match the invoice you hold, include both references and ask which billing period the debit covers.

Check the document before filing it

Confirm that the document belongs to the correct organisation and transaction. If you need evidence that an invoice was paid, check for a receipt or confirmed payment status rather than relying on the invoice alone.

For a requested correction, wait for the replacement document before treating the change as complete.
