Troubleshooting Your Tapt Card: Quick Fixes & Next Steps

Having trouble tapping your Tapt Card? No stress! Here are a few easy fixes that usually do the trick.


Quick Fixes to Try First

  • Test on Another Phone: Try tapping your card on a different NFC-enabled phone to confirm whether the issue is with the card or the original phone.

  • Check NFC Compatibility: Make sure NFC is enabled on the receiving phone. If the phone doesn’t support NFC, use the QR code instead.

  • Tapping Position Matters: iPhones and Android phones read NFC differently. Check out our tapping guide for the best technique.

  • Hold Steady for 3-5 Seconds: Give the phone a moment to recognise the card by holding it still in the tapping position.


Still Not Working? Let’s Diagnose the Issue

If your Tapt Card isn’t responding, follow these steps to check if it’s working:

  1. Download NFC Tools: Get it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. Test the Card:

    • Open the NFC Tools app and select Read.

    • Tap your Tapt Card as per our guides for iPhone and Android.

  3. What Happened?

    • If the card is tapping, scroll down to Record 1, take a screenshot, and send it to us at support@tapt.io.

    • If the card isn’t tapping, record a video of your attempt and email this to us instead.
