Tapt devices are compatible with all NFC-enabled smartphones! If your phone has NFC, you’re good to go. But if you’re running into trouble, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.

Before You Tap:

  • iPhones: NFC is always on for iPhone XR and newer. If you have an iPhone 7, 8, or X, make sure to activate the NFC widget in the Control Centre first.

  • Android Phones: The device must be unlocked in order to use NFC. Most Androids have NFC turned off by default. To enable it:

    • Go to Settings

    • Search for NFC

    • Toggle it ON

Tapt Cards Have QR Codes Too!

We know not every phone has NFC, so every Tapt Card comes with a QR Code to ensure maximum compatibility. If someone’s phone doesn’t support NFC, they can simply scan the QR Code on your Tapt Card to instantly access your profile. This way, you never have to worry about whether someone’s phone is NFC-enabled or not!

Having Trouble Tapping?

If you’re finding that tapping isn’t working, try these quick fixes:

  • Check NFC settings – Make sure it’s switched on (Android only).

  • Tap at the right spot – NFC readers are located in different areas depending on your phone. Find our tapping guide here.

  • Use the QR code – Every Tapt card has a QR code. Simply ask the other person to scan it instead!
